MESH: Product Rationale
Mesh is shot glass set that provides a higher order tactile and materiality to the the alcohol consuming world. Conceptually, the set is intended to evoke a responsible approach to a night out, done with control and dignity. It is this notion that epitomizes the treasured time during this social occurrence, inhibiting the user from regretful acts. Knurling is used as the tactile that provides the user another recurring message, hoped to be reinforced by the staff, of responsibility and self control allowing for an incident free occasion.

Very coool design!
i really liked the shot glasses
they seem very sleek and elegant.
i liked the detail on the shot glasses.
Cant really find flaws with the design,but if you were to change something, maybe you could have some colour in the glasses, just to spice it up a bit.

I think it is innovative to make shot glasses out of aluminium. The concept of reminding drinkers about responsible drinking is quite unique in which it is presented through knurling but I believe the same effect can be achieved in glass glasses. The brushed aluminium gives it a sleek and modern appearance. However, as the shot glasses are basically aimed at both genders, the combination of knurling and metal gives it a very industrial and mechanical appearance, which suggests a more masculine approach.
Overall I think the combination is quite striking and moves away from the traditional glass shot glasses and it is an innovative product.
mesh is a striking design. aesthetically it is very pleasing, obviously taking shotglasses into a different direction, through not only materials used, but the ideas it presents. the user will definitly respond to its message of enjoying alcohol, whilst making sure it is consumed responsibly
maybe different colours could be introduced to help reinforce the idea of the approaching limit of drinks?
however overall, this is definitly a new, sleek, some would say sexy, approach to a design that has not been changed much in recent years. well done!
